I come from a land down-under...
This might sound like a peculiar question, but is the rMB light enough to use one handed when standing up? By this I mean holding it with one hand, whilst use the trackpad (and maybe minimal typing) with the other hand?

I sometimes use my iPad with a logitech keyboard in this way, and it's not too bad, although a bit heavy for anything more than a few minutes. The iPad has the advantage of the touch screen, which I imagine is easier than using a trackpad whilst standing.

Just curious and seeing if the rMB can hold its own for a use case that is normally reserved for a tablet.

I use to do this all the time with a 15" MBP (5.6 lbs), so I don't see why not.

You can, absolutely. Holding the bottom corner of the new MacBook (while open) and lifting it with just two fingers is incredibly satisfying.
