Hi,

I was wondering if you can use an AT&T iphone on t-mobiles network and a t-mobile iphone on AT&Ts network without running into any problems as long as they are both unlocked?

I have heard that if you do do this, you may run into issues where data doesn't work in certain areas. If anyone could help answer the question that would be awesome. Thank you.

AT&T iPhone doesn't support T-Mo's AWS 1700/2100MHz spectrum so you'll have less than stellar "4G" coverage, but I'm using an AT&T 4S with T-Mo and I haven't run into many problems, I see Edge more than I'd like but it's nothing too bad.

Conversely, I think that T-Mobile's iPhone 5 does support all of AT&T's frequencies. I'm sure that somebody from the US will be able to confirm :)

AT&T iPhones purchased after April have support for all of Tmobile frequencies. The ones before that time do not support Tmobile AWS so you might see more Edge with those.
