Can you use your Mac as a wireless router with a usb 3g card ?

Hi Mac Forum,

I have a bit of a dilemma, you see I have BlackBerry service on my phone but im planning to buy a usb 3g modem and disconnect my phone's internet service. I would like to know if it's possible to connect the usb 3g modem to my MacBook and use my Airport card to create a wireless router so other devices can connect to the web such as my BlackBerry. Is this possible?

There is another solution which I use (without problems) for almost a year now

Maybe something to look into as well.

One can just unplug and plug in the modem without restarting the router, so very user friendly.

I tried with my MacBook last year using a Huawei card on the 3 network in the UK with no luck.

I use my MBP as a wireless (and wired) "router" using INternet Sharing while thethering my BlackBerry.
