I typically wear Casio and Citizen solar GPS watches and when they get dirty, I simply wash them in warm water with soap. These are WR up to 100m. I just ordered the AW7 SS Graphite and was wondering if I could do the same with it?

I suppose could. I shower with mine. But I don't scrub. I agree with Robert that soap shouldn't be necessary.

I shower with my watches and they are always on my wrist for everything. When I'm doing yard work my watches get dirt, mud and debris on them, and I wash them off with water at the least. This will be the first watch for me that I take off for charging.

I’ve showered with my S4 on for over 3 years, I sweat during workout around the band, I use soap/foam to clean off in the shower under the band, so I do get soap onto the watch regularly, no issue so far, for me.
Is why I am doing recommended? No, see post above.
I do have AC+

I work part time in a kitchen and deal a lot with raw meat. At this part time job I wear my old series 2 watch. I regularly wash it while I wash my hands, plus I take it off and scrub it good after every shift with warm water and soap and I’ve never had an issue.
