My magic keyboard should have been converted under my AppleCare+ plan for the iPad, but it isn’t and talking to Apple to add it in my plan has been a slow and uneventful process so far.

I am mentally accepting that this wont happen, and i may have to live with this keyboard.
I am Thinking of using distilled water to wash the keys. There are a few that get stuck the most major of which is the space bar. I want to ask if this is by any means a feasible idea. If it can brick the device then I’ll stay away. But with no battery and no minerals in water makes me more confident about it surviving.

A few years back Apple replaced my Apple plain folio as some under the surface weave design was surfacing. I did have Apple Care on the iPad. I don’t know if you can add AppleCare to accessories can you?

You can and they state it on their website. The guy at apple support screwed me over by adding just iPad + pencil and not keyboard. Making me go through all this hassle

I soaked up a machine cleaning towel with disinfectant spray and cleaned the keys, letting the liquid get into the crevices of the stuck keys and pressed them repeatedly (the opposite of the cleaning instructions). It has been around 10 days, so far so good. Ideally I should have done this with iso alcohol, but i have had bad experiences with alcohol and plastic, so I avoid using it.
No stuck keys in the 10 days post cleaning, which used to be a daily occurrence earlier.

I got my folio replaced in the states too, Apple service is way better in the states than in my country. I had to pay to get my pencil and phone screen changed under AC+ even though they were warranty cases, I know because they changed them under warranty in the states for me last year. Here it made more sense to pay the deductible and live headache free than try to argue for warranty. Waste of $350 for the most part on the keyboard due to no support.

I would just make sure it is on delicate to gentle cycle ?‍♂️
try dealing with stuck keys with no support apart from buy a new one and you will understand the headache I had.
