Can you write texts on "landscape" keyboard now?

I remember seing the iPhone last year, and you wrote text on a virtual keyboard. This keyboard was placed in the bottom of the screen, and to be honest, it looked way too small and clumsy to write on.

Is it now possible to write on a horisontal keyboard? I've heard you applers refer to this as "landscape". Simply put, is it possible to write by holding the iPhone sideways?

If this is the case, does this go for websites, texting, chatting... everything? And is it any easier?

Reason I'm asking is cause I'm considering buying iPhone3GS next month.

yes pretty much everything now supports the landscape keyboard. do some investigation as there are a million easier ways to find this out

really? that sucks they disabled it. I just used bit.ly to hide it from the person clicking it. It makes some sense I guess, if MR thinks that ****** is like... rude or something.

You didn't have to tell him anything. In fact, you could have simply read the title of the thread to avoid clicking it at all because he clearly stated his question.

I use it unless I have my headphones plugged in. Then I have to hold it awkwardly, so I just use portrait
 
I doubt one question can be very annoying.
So how hard is it getting used to this keyboard? Do you iphoners make lots of mistakes or..?
