Last time I checked Canadian Dollar is stronger...
Glad we weren't ripped off on the pricing of mini itself

BTW, White mini is 2 weeks wait right off the bat...

Surprised the iPad mini was the same price as apple.com. Paid $900 CAD for my 64 gb iPhone 5...

Yup.. iPhone was $50 more on the tag plus our outrageous sales taxes... 13% here in Ontario ontop of your already taxed income as high as 46.4%!!!

More like $1000... Over $100 in sales tax

Lol.. Are we really better off paying more for everything?

Well apple.com still doesn't have them unlocked. And where I live (moved from Montreal a couple years ago) it costs 1500 for the 64 gb. Also because of that, resale value here is incredible. I plan on selling my 5 next summer for about the same price I bought it, in time for the next one :)

is $6 bucks going to bankrupt you? fact is it costs more to do business here.

No. Just pointing out the fact.

It's not about the absolute price, it's the percentage.

$6 on something that's $39, we are talking about an additional 15.38% markup.

If it costs 15.38% more to do business in Canada on top of our higher taxation we have an issue.
