I bought the iphone used and it was unlocked. I accidentally updated it to 3.1.3 after the phone crashed. Now it is locked at the emergency screen.

It says Fido, Rogers, Telus, and AT&T SIM cards are all not valid (yes i have access to all of them to try).

Now i understand that at this point it can't be unlocked. But how can i get it to work with Fido if it was originally locked with Fido?

Any way to find out what it is locked to?

Only way to find out what company is locked in to is keep sticking simcards while plugged in to itunes and hopefully it activates.
But if it doesnt activate with Fido it wasnt locked to that company.
All you can do is wait a month or 2 for the next unlock to be released.
You can always JB and hactivate it to use as an ipod touch for now.

yeah i restored back to 3.1 and blackra1n'ed it so i got it jailbroken but thats pretty useless right now..

when 4.0 comes out is there going to be an unlock immediately or is it going to take time past that?
