If store opens at 8:00 I’d say show up at 12:00 midnight and check the line. If there’s a huge line, then buckle up and start looking online for reservations or if there’s no line/minimal people just join them and force the all nighter if you really want the phone.

reservations start nov 4 so best time would be 12:01 on nov 3? also, is the reservation or line up route a safer bet to make sure i get the phone?

Depends where you live and how busy your local apple store tends to be.

im in alberta

I'm in Edmonton. I think you'd be safe if you checked around 10-11pm tomorrow night. That's what a co-worker of mine usually does and he always gets his phones first thing in morning release day.

personally I prefer the online order. I had to stay up until 1am, but the phone will just show up at my desk on Friday. Works better for me.

ye i have mine preordered too but it is gonna be late in nov... so if i can get my hand on one sooner ill just cancel this one

I’m in Alberta, and from my experience over the past 7 years, it’s best to get there by 3 to be first row, 5 will have quite an average lineup. If they are in low supply of the iPhone, you might not get one if you get there by 5. Your best bet is to reserve an iPhone the next day of the launch. If the reservation starts on midnight then it should be available to reserve by 1:01 our time.

Would reservation be open at midnight on friday or 8 am on Nov 4? Ive been able to get the launch date for the last 5 years so im not too familiar with the reservation system. Thanks!

Or you could just order online and still get it by Christmas.

I’m pretty sure last year (because I had to do this), reservations were opened in the morning like 8:30 am.
