You have an actual black crude oil pipeline in your town? Jeez, nastee.

Cleanup, if crude, will be tough and costly.

let the company pay before you put an insurance claim, or your premiums will rise.

PS: this will raise gasoline prices in the US; any excuse!

just topped off my tank yesterday at $2.64/gal, so I think I'm all set for when they jack up gas prices due to this :D

Mmm yeah, I heard about that a few days ago. Terrible stuff, eh? Didn't it get into a bay too?

Here's a frightening quote from the article:
"It was impressive," said Rebecca Lee, 27, who lives a couple of houses away. "It was shooting over the lamp posts and it was so thick. It was covering all the trees, I wanted to be in the middle of it all."

:(

They are still trying to figure out who to blame for this.

The contractors who pierced the line do not have adequate insurance to pay for everything so the provicial gov't will probably have to pay for the clean up.

I would not hold my breath in the case of getting compensation beside the clean up. this is BC gov't after all.

If you want to prevent this in the future - move. The pipeline was there probably long before your house was built.

Real Estate Agent: Oh this house is in one of our newest areas, the economy is just booming!

Buyer: Oh, great. Is there anything we should know about the neighborhood?

Agent: Well, there's the Indian burial ground, the double murder in the attic, oh and theres a huge pipeline for oil under your street.

Buyer: ive seen the opening credits to Beverly Hillbillies! SOLD!

well

as a fellow BC resident, all I can say is that really sucks, and I'm sorry that happened to you.

I'm thinking eventually you will see some dollars, but for now just try and get back to normal....take a ton of pics of the damage, video etc.

and try not to focus on how shi*ty that is.....
