Good day all.

Anyone have data on their watch and with Rogers? I'm getting a bit of a run around.

Contacted Rogers about adding my new watch to my plan, since it's a non-shared plan I have to pay for it's own data, sure, no biggie as I'm a former Shaw user and on the stupid cheap plan.

The data plan gets enabled and they are charging me $60 for activation and then follow their instructions.

On the watch app on my iphone it says to contact Rogers as my plan isn't eligible.

I contact support online and she tries a few things and then suggests to go to a local store.

Went to the store today, and the lady there says only watches purchased through Rogers will work and that she cant use her own watch either.

I go back to support online and he says that is not true, but unfortunately the watch activation server is down at the moment. He opens a ticket so I can get notified when the outage is resolved.

So, anyone get their non-Rogers purchased watch added to their account and get number sharing working?

From their website it looks like the support guy is correct.

Rogers just laid off a bunch of staff. Still had enough money to pay millions to the c-suite, but somehow needed to cut staff. When you let your skilled workers go it can be tough to fill those gaps.

Good luck with your new provider.

For what it’s worth I’m on Telus and haven’t had any issues at all. I’m in the old peace of mind plan for my watch so thankfully I don’t pay extra money every month, so long as I continue to buy my watch outright, which I wanna do anyways.
