Canadian Deductions versus Minimum Wage.

Say if a person worked at fast food job for 4 years, they now make $12 an hour. Some student comes in and makes a little over minimum wage, they start at $10.25. Now what is this person that makes $12 an hour is over 18 and has to pay taxes, now after deductions of 14% they get paid $10.32 an hour. So the funny thing is after working there for 4 years they make the same amount of money as the teenagers.

To add to it.

Teenagers sometimes pay for plates, gas and insurance for their car.

18+ pay for gas, insurance, plates, food, bills, rent. ect

So the moral of this little rant is education is important, and everyone should get the highest education they can, and that taxes suck sometimes.

Well i am sure you make more then $10.32 an hour after taxes so yeah it works just fine.

Edit actually 15%. So actually $10.20 an hour less then teenagers.

No, minimum wage is $9.25 , but most get paid $10.

So the funny thing is if you started at a job at 16, you paid no taxes made minimum wage you got rases ext , 4 years later you get deductions and are still making minium wage. So you gain nothing especially over new workers.

how ever did you reach that conclusion ?

you do realize that when you file your taxes you usually end up getting that "cut" back and more.
especially if you are a student.
