If you're going to purchase an new Mac and have air miles, I suggest waiting a few more days.

From March 6-8, purchases at Apple.ca made through airmilesshops.ca will get 10x the air miles. If you buy the 24" iMac at $1800, that would be worth 900 air miles. 900 air miles has a value of about $120.

I've ordered through airmilesshops.ca before, and have recieved my extra miles on my next statement. Very fast turnaround. Also, the normal deal does apply when using the education discount, so though you get fewer airmiles overall, they still stack.

Yeah that's right you can get the air miles and the education discount. Might be the only way to counter the price increases on the new models in Canada due to the drop in value of the Canadian dollar.

Also works with refurbs, by the way.
