Cancel pre-order with AUP and buy in store?

I pre-ordered the 7+ 128GB matte black and signed up for the Apple Upgrade Program at the same time. Since my order isn't scheduled to be delivered until the week of October 4th, I'm curious if I go to an Apple store and by some miracle they have them in stock, could I cancel this and sign up again in-store?

Yeah you can do this, I spoke with an Apple rep today and did the same thing
