Dear MacRummoners,

I was installing Windows 10 through bootcamp on a Mac (10.13.5). The installation process hanged. So I canceled it. Now Disk Utility shows 2.29GB worth of "Other Volumes" when they do not actually exist.
I checked EFI volumes to delete Microsoft references. I tried to recover space from recovery mode. I tried running first aid. Nothing seems to help getting this space back.

Any advice?

Are you sure they just appeared? I have 2.9GB of other volumes. APFS will have your normal Macintosh HD volume, along with a volume each for VM, Preboot, and Recovery. This is normal. Run "diskutil apfs list" in terminal to see them.

Recovery and preboot. False alarm. Thank you.
