iPhone 13 mini Canceling a pre-order for store delivery

Anybody know how to cancel a pre-order for store delivery? I ordered a 13 mini for store delivery then discovered that BB had better trade-in deals so I went that route. Do I have to go to the store once it's delivered and do a return there or can I do this online? Unfortunately the store isn't exactly close.

Once it’s ready for pickup you should have a cancel button in the app, or you could call apple to cancel it. No need to go to the store. Worst case, it will auto cancel if you don’t pick it up within 2 weeks.

I would make sure Best Buy legit has the phone you want. Prior years through these forums and Reddit have claimed that Best Buy is absolutely awful with launch day pickups.
