Hey everyone: I did the math and its cheaper for me to cancel my AT&T account and switch to Verizon. I'd be giving up my unlimited plan but I have had a horrible time with AT&Ts "4G" on my iPhone 4s lately. I have already had my phone replaced by apple in the past month due to connectivity issues and had numerous calls to AT&T Tech support with no assistance. My area is known for having a better Verizon network. I also get a better discount from Verizon from my employer and having a wifi ipad the tethering would be great. I think its time to cut loose from AT&T.
Anyone had any luck canceling without the ETF Fee? There are numerous sites out there with tips like threatening to contact the BBB or the FTC and changes in contract terms but has anyone really gotten them to waive or reduce the ETF fee?
