Cancelled Macbook Air Online Order using Apple Gift Card Refund Time?

Hi Everyone,

Just curious if anyone else used an Apple gift card to purchase a Macbook Air BTO online and cancelled it to receive the fund back into the gift card? Do you know how long it takes? It's been the 3rd day today but still has not returned and I'm dying to buy a Macbook air.

I have three days ago. Said it would take up to 48 hours but just wanted to see if anyone else had experience with it in the past.

Just called again and the lady said weekends don't count. So today is the first day. Also I ordered a Macbook Air case which I requested to be cancelled as well but was already shipped. She mentioned since the case and the laptop was considered as one order, I would have to return the case to get the gift card value back. I guess longer time to wait.

I had a BTO order and instead going with a refurb to save more money. It also ships the next day instead of 2-3 weeks.

I called Apple and the lady told me 24 hrs to show back up on gift card.

However I just checked the balances and the refund showed up. About 3 hrs after the return was completed. Good thing I held on to the paper gift cards.
