Cancelling my T-mobile iPhone 8 order and will either preorder the iPhone X or wait overnight in line at an Apple store. The iPhone 8 seems to be in good supply and don’t want to take the hit of trying to sell used after 6 weeks. Supply of iPhone X worrying though, lots of hype and demand!

So your intent was to buy the 8 and sell later for a profit and get the X?
If so, yea I’d cancel that order ASAP.
No, initially was worried the 8 would be in short supply and not available if I didn't like the X. Was thinking the extra weight factor of the X might not be worth the larger and better screen, but some reviews made me reconsider.
I stopped camping out at the Apple Store years ago. It ended up like a lottery and some walked away empty handed. In fact the year I vowed to never do the line up thing again. They passed out tickets. The ones at the very front (first 6) got their choice of models but as you went further back the selection either slimmed down or totally dried out.
Sheesh, so cynical. No with 8 in good supply can return the X if it doesn't work out and get the 8.
Or not return the X and sell for profit?

If you do end up trying to sell for profit, give second thought about Ebay, as you can get easily burned as a seller on there.
Sold several on eBay, only to US buyers and by PayPal, never a problem. Did try selling on Amazon once, that was a nightmare.
With 10 months to go before a new release you might want to get the 8 and just wait. But you are right, you will probably make a good profit selling it.
