Cancelling online order?

I am having no luck with the reserving process. If I order online and then in the meantime manage to reserve and buy one instore can I then cancel the online order? What if it has shipped?

Once you buy through Apple online, you will not be able to buy through reservation on the same number. I tried it and got an error stating number has an iPhone order already in place. I cancelled my online order last night at 945. At 10:20, I was able to buy one at a store 1 hr away. Will pick up tomorrow maybe as it is closed today.
