Hello

My just bought Macbook Pro 2011 was left unattended (lid closed) for 5 minutes in my living room and my adorable 2 years old daughter decided it was a very attractive surface to place mommy's candles on! Luckily the candles were off. Now I have a shinny new aluminum MBP with wax stains on its otherwise beautiful cover :(

I would appreciate any ideas you could give me to remove these stains. I have tried a normal cloth damped in warm water without any success. I have one of those Scotch-Brite "Magic Erasers" but am a little worried to ruin the finish of the laptop.

Thank you very much.

here's the easiest way to get candle wax off of the mbp.

take a small towel, completely wet it with water. take extra water out of the towel.

put the towel in microwave for about 45 seconds... when u take it out it will be very hot so please be careful.

place the hot towel on top of the lid, the area with the wax.

the hot towel should make the wax more liquid and less solid...

wipe away the wax with Goo Gone (http://www.googone.com/)

but u should be able to wipe away with a regular paper towel though.
