srsly.

I just bought candybar2 a couple weeks before leopard came out... as I didn't know it wasn't going to work on leopard. -_-

ehh... looks cool though.

Send em an e-mail...hope for the best :)

This is a big update, not just one which includes Leopard compatibility...

Anybody tried Candybar 3 with Leopard yet?

Could anybody please share his/her experience? Thanks.

what they want me to pay for the upgrade

I don't mind paying for an upgrade, but a $5 discount off the regular price for an upgrade is a little obscene. Especially when you consider how much the price of this software has jumped. Also for that much money I would have at least expected a dozen or so built in dock themes.

Now I hope there will be more 512x512 icon sets released!
I make a lot of my own icons, but the program I use can't do over 128. THe only thing I have found that will do 512 icons is the IconBuilder Pro plugin for photoshop, but it costs nearly $80.

Anyone know a free/cheaper way to make 512 icons, or find them? (I know there are some sets out there, but not many)

It would be nice if these icon designers and dock artists would make versions for those of us that put the dock on the side.

Does anyone know if their is a disk version. I bought candybar 2 at the apple store but the last time I was their they didn't seem to have it... The whole download software over the 'net makes me. I do a lot of reformats often

Does anyone know how to change an apps icons - including each file extensions? Say I want to change VLC's with all of its AVI, MOV icons (inside the app).

Could easily do it in Candybar 2 but cannot see how I can do this with Candybar 3.

Many thanks.

Wowza, it sure seems like it! But still...

I dont know if i wanna pay for this again...
I feel the same way, not because I don't think the app's worth the money. And not because I don't think the developers shouldn't get the money for such a big change-- but because I just don't bother changing out my icons anymore. I'm so lazy and starting to quite like just using the standard icons (except for Adium). :p

(In case I wasn't being clear, I feel the app is fantastic and developers should definitely get the money due them, I just don't know if I'd use this app anymore or enough to warrant buying it. There. :p)

Has anyone else's search become broken on Candybar 3? I did a fresh install of Leopard not too long ago and then restored Candybar via Time Machine. Now, I can only search newly added icons, and not old ones. I've tried deleting the various pref files and nothing has worked.

Add the Candybar (~/Library/Application Support/CandyBar) folder to the Spotlight Privacy list. Wait a minute or two, then remove the same folder from within Spotlight's Privacy list. Spotlight should now begin to re-index your Candybar collection. I've tried it, and this procedure works. Depending on how many icons you have you might have to wait a while for the indexing to complete.

If I download the trial and change some icons...do they get reset after the trial period is over?

I'll continue to use LiteIcon. Don't much care for the pre bundled stuff. On another note, what is this retired thing under psychofreak's name?
