Another vote for Candybar, I use it often and have never experienced any issues.

no issues with candybar.
they regularly update it with every update to OS X.

might have to log out/back in for the changes to take effect though.

other than that, great little app.

Another vote. Its brilliant.. but it gets a bit obsessive that you can change everything so easy!

I've used it since it first came out, on about half-a-dozen Macs of varying types – it's not caused me a single problem. I will say though all the Macs have been PowerPC – I've not tried it on an Intel.

Still, it gets the Jaffa Seal of Approval.

I actually paid for it, because I thought it was worth it. $12 isnt bad for such a nice prog..especially if your constantly changing icons like me

The app is well safe and very much worth the money. Only time it is dangerous is if you have Candybar with a icon set applied and then load Shapeshifter (Apply it) with a built in icon set that comes with a theme, it'll make the current set of icons in Candybar overwrite Aqua default.

It can be fixed though, but if it happens to someone its handy to know...

I emailed Panic and they sent a link (http://www.panic.com/candybar/d/IconRestore.zip]) to the thing that fixes the problem. MAKE SURE YOU RESTART, LOGGING OUT THEN BACK IN WON'T DO IT.
