Cannes Festival is underway!

I live about 10 km from Cannes, and things are pretty crazy here right now. I went to the airport in Nice this morning for my mom's flight and it was packed. Some paparazzi around waiting to see who was getting off of the planes, the whole shebang.

So, does anyone here actually pay attention to what's going on here in Cannes, or does it fly under the radar?

If I have any cool celebrity sightings I'll let you all know.

Well, Cannes hated The Da Vinci Code, which suggests to me that the the quality of people's visual literacy far outpaces the quality of their reading literacy.

Of course, those who booed this movie probably hated the book, too ...

Eager to see what movies emerge and whether they buy their emergence.

And remember, for everyone who doesn't speak French: It's pronounced "can", like a tin can, NOT "Khan", like William Shatner going "KHAAAAAAAAAAN!"
