I have a Canoscan FB630U and I am on the verge of throwing it to the garbage. Since I switched to Mac I´ve not been able to make it work. I installed the .dmg file downloaded from Canon for OSX but there is no way it appears neither in Photoshop Elements 8 "import" nor in Canoscantoolbox 5 from Canon. Done all recommended ways but no way it works.
Anyone with the "magictoolbox" for this headache?

Canon scanning drivers & software are a pile of ****. I've got a 3-year old scanner & the software is so badly written. Rosetta makes a good go of it, but even on my Mac Pro its a joke.

Perhaps a job for Parallels & XP?

Well just goes to show. :)
My experience with Canon is the exact opposite…

Drivers work — scanners and printers.

And what are you using that you need Rosetta for? *cripes*
