cannot access call,mail and ipod buttons

Cannot access the call,mail,safari or i-pod on my i-phone, all other apps I can access it' only the ones at the bottom (4 of with the grey background) I have reset, updated and restored to original with no luck, any ideas?

Hi, no it doesn't, I just managed by using i-tunes to relocate the apps from the lower screen into the main screen and they work there.... Nothing in the lower screen responds to touch still though ?

Soo obviously something wrong with the bottom portion of the screen.. Take it to apple and get it replaced..

Yes it's a hardware issue. Nothing you can install or restore would fix it.
Most likelly the screen needs to be replaced.

Your digitizer has gone bad. You need to get the glass/digitizer replaced.
