"Cannot Access Find My Friends" window doesn't go away

I just updated the software today for my iPad (ios 6.2?).

The "cannot access my friends" window appeared. There are two options in the window: "later" and "open", both of which do not respond when I try to choose them.

I tried turning off my ipad. But the window is always there, so I cannot slide the "slide to turn off" button.

Now I cannot do anything with the ipad. Any help???

Try holding both the home and power buttons down together until the iPad shuts off.
