Hello,
I have a MacBook (Leopard) and an iMac (Leopard) at home. They are both on the same wireless network.
I would like to access the Public Folder on my MacBook from my iMac. I've set up File Sharing and dropped some folders in the Public Folder on the MacBook. The MacBook shows up in the Finder on my iMac but I can't connect with it. Even using 'Connect to Server' doesn't work.
The strange thing is that I CAN connect from the MacBook to the iMac Public Folder. Everything works fine and it seems like the settings on both the iMac and MacBook are equal. Except for a group called 'Users' which is on the permissions list on the iMac.
The permissions lists look like this:
MacBook:
Me (sharing only) - Read-only
My girlfriend (owner) - Read & Write
Everyone - Read only
iMac:
Me (owner) - Read & Write
Users - Read only
Everyone - Read only
The option "Allow guests to connect to shared folders" is checked.
Any suggestions or tips ?
With regards,
Rutger
