For some reason, I cannot access my Sony TV's native menu when using the input connected to my Apple TV 4. This is pretty frustrating as it prevents me from being able to adjust picture settings/system settings while in that input. Is anyone having an issue similar to this?

Just for reference, my TV is the Sony W850B, but I tried the ATV4 on a slightly older high-end Sony TV and the same issue persists.

known issue on these Sony TV's. Its because of the HDMI CEC. I've had that problem on mine for ages due to other HDMI CEC capable devices being connected to it.

Ahh damn. Is there any way around it? Can I turn off HDMI CEC on the Apple TV?

Ok I have figured it out. For recent Sony TVs, when you have an HDMI CEC device connected, it automatically disables any buttons on the remote that aren't relevant to CEC remote sync. However, there's a remote sync button which you can use to restore the normal TV remote functionality.
