Opened Apple Home app, clicked on + then scanned QR code on E30. Does not find the camera and times out then says "accessory not found". According to Apple's website and on the Eufy box, this is HomeKit compatible. I've tried to call Eufy for support - waited 1h and haven't been able to connect to an agent. Any suggestions please?

Yes, the QR code has the Home logo. I also have tried to add via the Eufy app but does not work either. I go to Settings->Security->Works with->Apple HomeKit -> Devices will be added to - and it shows an old Home. I deleted that home already and I have started fresh. How come this old home is still showing up in the Eufy app? is there a cache I need to delete?

When I go into the camera settings -> General-> HomeKit Portal -> I get an error "HomeBase Ecosystem and HomeKit will not work at the same time"

I was, however, able to add my HomeBase S380 as a Bridge on Apple Home (but I can't find it in the Home app?) and ironically Eufy says the HomeBase S380 is not homekit compatible?? so confusing here

Unfortunately after dozens of calls and emails to Eufy support, the E30 camera can be added direct however it’s not possible to add in conjunction with the Homebase 3 to HomeKit. So annoying.

well you did step 1, ready for step 2? lol

now you know why i said ewwfy

I am having similar issues as of late. I can't add anything to Homekit via my phone or my iPad. Same error messages. When I use my daughter's iPhone or iPad, it works. So I strongly suspect the culprit is rather Apple here because of some obscure iOS or Homekit issues.

Reboot the active hub. This will reestablish your Thread network. Often when you cannot add an accessory it is a network issue. This happened to me this week trying to upgrade an Eve Energy outlet to Matter. Once the hub was rebooted everything worked fine. Go to Home Hubs and Switches in Home Settings to see which device is your active hub.

A quick hub reboot (Apple TV/HomePod) forces the Thread Border Router (TBR) to rebuild routes and refresh its commissioning state, which clears “stuck” pairings and “No Response.”

What we learned back in the day was when something does not work reboot. Low effort troubleshooting.

Is the camera in a pairing mode? Does it require you to authenticate HomeKit via the Eufy app once it's running?

I have an old Eufy HomeKit camera and at that time the native app was required to setup, not sure if the newer cameras are the same. You get the camera up and running in the Eufy app then goto the cameras settings, general, HomeKit Portal. Again, might be different now....

The native app is nice to have though because you can access features like pan/tilt and firmware updates.
