Cannot change Audio settings

I normally have the Midi setting set at 24/96 two channel as i have a lot of hi res audio.

But in Big Sur it keeps going back to the setting shown in the screenshot.

Anyone else experienced this ?

Update. Sorted. Not sure what was wrong but suddenly I can change the output connected to my Marantz receiver to anything I want.
