Cannot change "Connect to This Mac" option for AirPods Pro

This option has been greyed out since I updated to Monterey. Before that I chose "When Last Connected to This Mac". I want to turn off the notification that notifies me when my AirPods are nearby. It's so annoying.

I can still change the option on both iPhone and iPad. Does anybody know what's cause this? Doesn't seem like a bug to me.

I'm using M1 MacBook Air.

Just had this problem. By pure chance, I decided to right-click on the field, and the dropdown appeared. I was able to change the setting. Let's hope it works. But yeah, this is sloppy hot garbage
