I have a PowerMac G5 and a PowerBook G4. I have an Actiontec M1424-WR Rev. D wireless router from Verizon Fios and a Linksys 8 port Workgroup Switch. I had to move the router from the basement to the first floor to get a stronger signal for my wireless PowerBook G4. I connected the router to the switch with an ethernet cable from one of the ports on the router to one of the ports on the switch. I am able to access the internet on both computers, but I cannot connect to each computer. I was able to do this before the move. I have sharing on for files, printers and windows, etc. Can anyone advise me as to how I share files from one computer to the other?
