Cannot Control-click / Right-Click on Folders in Finder Windows

Very strange...

I am unable to control-click or right/secondary-click on any files or folders in Finder windows.

I am able to control-click on blank spaces and bring up the drop down menu. I am able to control-click on items on the desktop itself though not via a Finder window.

I'm using a Magic Mouse and everything else seems to be running nominally.

Any ideas?

What Mac OS X version do you use?
Does it also happen in another, even temporarily created, account?

Ah, apologies. Forgot all that critical info...

iMac 27" Late 2009, OSX 10.6.8, magic mouse

Will attempt on a guest account now.

Right/Secondary clicking works when logged in to the Guest account.

Any idea what is went wrong with my account?

Move the below file to the desktop, then relaunch desktop, ot logout and in again, see if that helps.

com.apple.Finder.plist

It is in ~/Home/Library/Preferences/
