I am running the latest ios8 beta and and have run into some trouble with photos. when it prompted me to, I enabled icloud photo library to store all my photos in the cloud. however, once I started to receive warnings that my storage is almost full (local storage, not iCloud) I tried deleting some photos and videos. unfortunately, no matter how many photos I delete, the amount of storage taken up by photos (as shown in settings, general, usage, manage storage) never goes down. I have tried disabling iCloud photo library and that didn't help.

any ideas how I can delete some photos to regain some of my local storage?
