Heres my problem:
When I go to download yosemite from the app store I press the GET button and then it grays out and nothing happens. All other things I click GET then a download button appears and in one click its downloaded.

Heres my specs: old I know but it was very expensive and still should work

Model Name: MacBook Pro mid 2008 running 10.6.8
Model Identifier: MacBookPro4,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 3 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP41.00C1.B03
SMC Version (system): 1.27f3
Serial Number (system):
Hardware UUID: 8D0EBDB3-DAC7-520C-AD7B-B2A7D1A1291D
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled

Heres what Ive tried:
Booted in "safe boot" didnt help
Backed up, restored, cleaned, got rid of Power-PC apps, still nothin
Called apple and the best suggestion was "get better internet connection", Ive got 15mbps so that should not be an issue especially when I can download anything else
Not close to a mac store so thats not an option either

Is there any other place besides the app store where I can download OS X 10.10? That would solve it I think.
If anybody has help for me Id appreciate it.
Thanks

repair permissions. check for any pending updates. try to download 10.6.8 combo and reinstall that.

Hey man thanks for the ideas unfortunately the GET button still grays out when I click on it. Can I jump straight to 10.10.1 from 10.6.8 or do I need to get to 10.10 first? Beyond frustrating!
