I have a mid 2011 iMac 27 with a 256gb ssd and a 2tb storage drive within it.
I also have bootcamp installed on the larger drive in an area of 500gb.
I had a program called parallels running so I could switch back and forth in mac to win, but I got tired of paying for updates constantly so I removed it from the mac side of things, this is where things went nuts.
I now can't even get into windows by choosing the bootcamp drive when booting up holding the alt key, it hiccups and goes right back to the mac sign in screen. I repeated the process a few times ONCE I got to the start windows normally screen with a repair option i did repair option it finished then still rebooted to mac.
This windows side of things was working great until I uninstalled parallels on the mac side of things, so at this point I am honestly ready to just erase everything and start over even on the mac side.
But I am not exactly sure how to even do that erase it all back to my two main drives and reinstall windows via bootcamp leave it that way and just do the boot thing to switch back and forth.
If there is a decent walkthru on how to accomplish this can someone point me to it? At this point the mac side appears to be running ok but honestly im just frustrated all around and ok with wiping it all and calling it a fresh start on both sides.
Just frustrating as all heck that i can't even get in and see what I have on the windows side anymore it worked flawlessly until i removed parallels now i can't even get in via bootcamp startup alt key method.
