Cannot hear people when I call. iPhone 5

When I call people it takes awhile to ring and stuff. When it final does i cannot hear it ring or anything. But people tell me my calls go through. I cannot hear it through the ear piece speakers or headphones. But my I can listen to music fine through the speakers and head phones. I have a iPhone 5 and I'm currently using straight talk with AT&T towers. Please help.

Did you turn your volume all the way down...? Music volume is separate from phone call volume.

Yes, I checked the volume

I had the exact same problem. Couldn't hear anything but they could hear me.

Phone needed a reset and that solved the problem.
