Cannot install OS X Mavericks

I downloaded and tried to install Mavericks but I get the message "An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again".
I have a MacBook Pro, Retina, 15-inch, early 2013
Processor 2.8 GHz intel core i7
Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
420 GB free space on disc
Now running OS X 10.8.5
Do you have an idea of what may be happening?
