Hey guys,

I have late 2008 MBP with SSD and HDD drives and El captain. my problem is that i cannot install windows on my machine and i have tried the following:

- installed Refind but yet i cannot boot from usb (black screen after press enter)
- i hav modified bootcamp to create bootable usb yet i cannot boot from it.

Can someone help me on this please.

Thanks

That's probably because Boot Camp detects that your MacBook Pro has an optical drive and may be looking for a Windows 7 install disk rather than USB. There are work arounds for this. I'm not sure why you have to use reFind to create a dual boot when boot camp should be able to do that for you?
