Cannot listen to apple investor webcast in Mac OS X

I am trying to listen to the Apple financial results webcase at apple.com/investor, and for some reason quicktime won't play the stream.

When I open up quicktime in Windows under parallels, it plays beautifully.

It's the second time this happens to me.

Sometimes this happens because you've installed too many overlapping codec plugins -- i.e. there's some conflicting one that thinks it can view the content (but cannot) and overrides the built-in QT capabilities. Is that a possibility?
