Cannot load SiliconImage3124u.kext on unofficially supported Mac Pro 3.1

Hey,

Maybe someone can provide a little help.
I've had my MacPro 3.1 up and running with the latest OS thanks to DosDudes tools.
In the prior version of OSX I believe I was able to load and run the SiliconImage3124u.kext without any hiccups. This time around, when I try to load the kext, the system crashes immediately, resulting in this panic report (w/o the list of already loaded kexts.)

Any reason this shouldn't load?
Gatekeep and SIP disabled.
Generally pretty savvy with this stuff, but this is a bit of a curveball for me.
Loads just fine on officially supported machine.
