Hello,
I would be very grateful if someone could help me. I switched off my Mac at the main plug in error and when I logged on again I had no desktop icons showing. When I tried to open Safari through Applications I got an error message saying 'Cannot open Safari it is either damaged or incomplete. Also I tried to open Utilities but got a warning script message saying Disc Utilities has crashed. I am very new to the Mac and am still trying to find my way around it.
Even if I go to Activity Monitor and type loginwindow to ForceQuit as somebody had advised to another Forum User to do in order to logoff, my Mac still doesn't log off.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks
Caza

You have a case of major disk corruption. You need to wipe the drive and reinstall.

Cheers
