Cannot mount empty writable cd's or dvd's? Permission problem. Please help!

Hi.
I cannot mount empty writable cd's or dvd's.
I get the question if i want to mount it in Finder. I press yes and the I get a warning that it cannot be executed and i dont have the right permissions.
Then the dvd ejects.

What is wrong and how do I fix it?

oh, i am on a Mac Book Pro 10.6.4
