Cannot open applications Skype and Evernote

Hi, I am not able to run two applications.

By Evernote getting the same window with the text: Evernote cannot be opened because of a problem. I have also reinstaled it.

The same problem with Skype with text: Skype quit unexpectedly. Also have reinstalled it.

MacOS 10.6.8

Can you help me?

Have you checked to see if you are using latest versions of the applications?

Sure I have.
I have also found different advices. Got to the point to run disk repair utility, which I am also not able to open. Than tried to install Update Combo and also without succes. What now? Reinstall Mac OS???
