Cannot Open New Project in GarageBand '09

Though they used to be there, I now have no icons show up under the "New Projects" tab of GarageBand '09. I now cannot, obviously, begin a NEW PROJECT! How did this happen and how can I fix it? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I have exactly the same problem, and it happened after I downloaded loads of guitar lessons from the lesson store. Any help would be much appreciated.
