I have an iMac running High Sierra 10.13.6. This morning, I can no longer open Safari. I get the error: Safari cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure Safari works with this version of MacOS...

I had not recently updated the MacOS. I ran DiskWarrior, restarted and still get the same error. I have reported it to Apple. If you want to see the error report, I'm attaching it. I'm open to suggestion!

Thanks in advance for any help.

It appears that one of the libraries is hosed. Open the Mac App Store, download and run the 10.13.6 installer. This will refresh the hosed library.

I don't want to overwrite my existing setup. And I don't see 10.13.6 in the App Store anyway. If I install the OS again, does it go back to factory settings?

It shouldn’t overwrite your user setup, only refresh the OS system files and libraries.
