Cannot play movie from device to Apple TV 2

I have Appletv 2. I cannot play a movie on my Mac, or iPad or iphone on Appletv. I can stream YouTube to Appletv. When I try to play movie, Appletv shows spinning wheel and timebar, but movie never plays. Wheel spins forever. Is there a compatibility issue between ios13 and Appletv, which has latest available OS for this device? Thanks
