I am trying to control my iphone music with my watch but for music ripped from cds it doesnt let me play them. If i start playing them on my phone first it will show on my watch. I have read this was an issue in the past, is it still an issue or am I doing something wrong.

Just read that post. Thats extremely frustrating and way more work than I want to put in for and frankly know how to do. Thank you though I appreciate the response.

I’m frustrated too. I don’t want to convert all my library to m4a format and then apply this plID tag to all my albums...

Just because this reason, I’m asking on different threads If someone with iOS 14 and watchOS 7 beta can check if the problem persists.

If the problem persists, maybe I will try starting this frustrating and hard solution. But if someones checks betas and the problem is solved, I will wait for final release

Is it fixed yet ? Seems to play music bought on iTunes but doesn’t play anything that wasn’t. It always used to work. I hope Apple aren’t using the watch to strong arm users to only use Apple Music and give up on making their own music…..maybe they want to eliminate all music and creativity that isnt owned or curated by Apple.
