cannot power off tethered jb iphone4

may i ask if anyone know how to power it off so that i can try to enter dfu mode? since it keep rebooting and i dun even have enough time to slide the power off bar and pressing power button + home button doesn't reset it

You dont need to power it off.
Just try to enter DFU by holding both home and power and then release the power and keep holding the home button down.

It should, you're just stuck in a boot loop that's all.
Gotta time the DFU mode perfect though, keep trying. Check out that link.
